Link Building Guide

Siege Media Review: Content, Digital PR and Pricing

An independent Siege Media review: what the agency does, its published minimums for content and digital PR, contract terms and who it suits.

Siege Media is a US content marketing and digital PR agency that earns links by creating content worth covering and pitching it to the media. It is not a link building service in the "buy a placement" sense, and its published minimums start at $8,000 a month.

This review is based on Siege Media's own website, service pages and FAQs, checked in October 2026. Nothing here comes from first-hand testing, and it follows the site's review criteria.

Best for: larger brands that want content, design and digital PR run as one long-term organic growth programme.

Not ideal for: businesses that want a set number of links each month, small budgets, or anyone wanting to choose the sites that link to them.

What is Siege Media?

Siege Media now describes itself as a "Full-Service GEO Agency for Brands". Its founder and CEO is Ross Hudgens, and its about page lists offices in Austin, Chicago, New York City and San Francisco.

The agency's model is content-led. It builds strategy, writes and designs content, then promotes data-driven assets to journalists. Links come as a by-product of coverage, which is why its case studies talk about link counts and traffic value rather than placements bought.

Client logos on its site include Zendesk, Airbnb, Asana, PayPal and Zillow. Siege Media also says its work accounts for about $148.6 million a year in client traffic value. Both are the agency's own claims.

What services does Siege Media offer?

Siege Media groups its services into three phases on its homepage.

Phase Services listed
Start BlueprintIQ, content strategy, consulting, web design
Grow GEO, content creation, content marketing, graphic design
Scale Digital PR, Reddit marketing, affiliate partnerships, research reports

For link building specifically, the relevant service is digital PR. Its digital PR page is titled "3,000 Links/mo for Clients" and refers to a network of more than 7,500 media partners. That figure is a total across clients, not what a single client should expect.

How much does Siege Media cost?

Siege Media doesn't publish packages, but it does publish starting points, which is more than most agencies at this level. As listed on its site in October 2026:

Service Published starting point Notes
Content marketing $8,000 a month minimum Priced in "content marketing units" based on time, not per post
Digital PR Around $12,000 to $15,000 a month When Siege Media both creates the PR content and promotes it
Digital PR without content creation Not published A smaller retainer is possible in "rare exceptions" where your team creates the content
Published monthly starting points Content marketing $8,000 Digital PR $12,000 to $15,000 $0 $15,000

Contract terms

For content marketing, Siege Media says it asks for a 12-month contract, with a 30-day out clause in all contracts. Contract terms for digital PR on their own are not published.

How does working with Siege Media work, and how much control do you get?

You don't order links. You agree a programme, Siege Media plans content against your budget (it says it can "work backwards from your top competitor's SEO performance"), then creates and promotes assets.

That means very little control over which sites link to you, because journalists and editors decide what to cover. In exchange, the links are editorial and earned, which is the lowest-risk kind under Google's spam policies. If you want to understand the trade-off, the guide to white hat vs black hat link building covers it.

Turnaround and guarantees

Siege Media is clear that it doesn't guarantee links. Asked whether it guarantees a number of mentions, its digital PR page says it does not, and that buyers should "be wary of any company that does".

No delivery timeline is published. Content-led PR typically takes weeks to research, build and pitch each campaign, so this is a long-term commitment rather than a quick win. That is a general feature of digital PR rather than a Siege Media promise.

Reporting and support

Reporting cadence and format are not published on the pages checked. Case studies report outcomes such as link growth and traffic value, which suggests those are the metrics the agency tracks, but ask for a sample report before signing.

Siege Media pros and cons

Pros Cons
Earned, editorial links from media coverage No guaranteed number of links
Published minimums, unusual for a premium agency $8,000 a month minimum, more for digital PR
Content, design and PR handled by one team 12-month contract requested for content marketing
Long client list of recognisable brands Very little control over which sites link to you
30-day out clause in all contracts Reporting format not published

Who should use Siege Media?

Siege Media suits brands that want organic growth from content first and links second, and that can commit budget for a year. It is a strong fit where the content itself (data studies, tools, visual assets) can earn coverage on its own merits.

If your goal is a predictable number of placements each month, an outreach-based agency or productised service will give you more certainty, at the cost of links that are placed rather than earned. Compare approaches in the guide to outsourcing link building.

Siege Media alternatives
